Three fun ways to cool down in the summer

Summers finally here but so is the heat…. Here’s five fun crafts/recipe to help you cool down.

Makeshift sprinkler

Duck tape
hose
2 liter soda bottle

Use a knife and poke small holes over the top of the 2 liter bottle. Use the duck tape to fasten the hose to the lip of the bottle. Turn the water on and WALA! You got a neat makeshift sprinkler. The rush of water will force water to come thru the slits.

quick but good gogurt pops

Gogurt
freezer

Take a gogurt and put it in the freezer until frozen.

Fake pool

Fill your bathtub with cold water, put your bathing suite on and swim!

Hey sorry it’s been so long since my last post. I’ve been busy with softball lately GO TIGERS!! Do any of y’all love summer? I sure do! Summer is the time of year for swimming, lemonade stands and ice cream trucks! I personally love swimming but don’t forget the sunscreen! Do any of you have summer jobs?, if so what are they? I have one suggestion for a summer job and it is….. a LEMONADE STAND! One summer me and my cousins had a lemonade stand our parents doubted that anyone would come since we lived and the country but they were so wrong! Tons of people came garbage men, mailmen, police, and just neighborhood people. One lady stopped right before we closed up and bought a half bag of popcorn and half a glass of lemonade and gave us $60! I’m not saying that someone will stop and give you 60 dollars. A job like this takes responsibility and time. It may be hours before you get a customer but it’s worth it. Here are some other suggestions.

Snow Cone stand
Babysitting (if your thirteen)
Dog walking
Yard work
extra jobs around the house
mothers helper

Christmas….I love Christmas!

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to everyone! So…… what did y’all get for Christmas? I got a bike, a camera and a laptop and a few other things. Don’t you just love Christmas? I sure do. We were so lucky that we even had a white Christmas the snow stayed for days after. Did everyone make a new years resolution? if so what was it? Mine is to eat healthier.

Oh I almost forgot…

HAPPY 2010!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! Right now I am writing a book (That’s why there hasn’t been much content lately) and I thought you guys might want to read a little bit of it. So here you go!

I woke up confused, I was no longer laying on my king size bed in my master room. Instead I lay on a hard cave floor surrounded by wolves the size of lions. “This has to be a dream” I thought to myself. I looked down at my arms they were covered in fur!!!!

I shrieked but it ended up sounding like a howl. One of the wolves lifted his head and stared at me. I heard a growl coming from deep in his throat. He started coming towards me growling loudly now. I started walking backwards slowly. I stumbled and…

So there was the beginning of my book I have written almost 3,000 words I am going to enter it in Nanowrimo . Nanowrimo is a writing contest for kids and teens of all ages and the winner gets there book published!

This is a picture taken at Arrowhead Park in Hickory Creek last Sunday. The park looks a lot nicer now since we had our cleanup. We had our cleanup just in time since the water has risen atleast 3-4 feet since our cleanup. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!!

My sisters and I love to climb and walk on this tree!

I will post more about the clean up soon with photos. We cleaned up a lot!

Hermit Crab’s and Shell Robberies!

My crab Spiderwomen and my crab Izzy got into a shell fight today. Sadly, Spiderwomem was injured badly but luckily not killed.

If you own hermit crabs, I suggest you educate yourself about them more. Here are a few things to get you started. Some signs it was a shell fight are mild screaming, missing limbs and different crabs in different shells. It is sad that these things happen, but for crabs…it’s life. If your crabs are fighting separate them immediately!!!! Place several shells around the victim and wait, there is nothing more you can do but protect them from the other crab. He will be thankful for your help.

Crazy Week

This is a very crazy week, I have been trying to find sponsors for Project Arrowhead. I have been writing a speech to read to the Mayor, then I have a 4-H meeting the next day!

This is the craziest week ever!!!!!!!!

Blue keeps digging and Barking because it’s too hot to walk her. Tomorrow I am having the meeting with the mayor. Yesterday mom took me to walmart to get new shoes and a outfit to wear for tomorrow. My shoes are awesome they are white and blue and they make me taller because I am short. I am only 4ft 8inch when all my friends are 5ft tall. My outfit includes Brown leggings with buttons on them by the ankle and a long pink and brown shirt.
