Spicy Chicken with Honey Mustard Sauce
Mmmmmm…. Nothings better than some crispy crunchy chicken with honey mustard on a cold winter day. So here is my My Wooden Spoon food challenge entry.
In this recipe the hot sauce in the chicken cuts out a lot of salt since hot sauce has a lot of flavor there is no need for salt. The honey mustard sauce makes a perfect salad dressing if you want to serve the chicken over salad or.. you could even serve it over ramen noodle’s or maybe even a honey chicken rap Mmmm… so many different ways…
I have a challenge for all of you readers! I want every single one of you to enter the food challenge and link your entry to me. Go on don’t be afraid oh and you don’t have to have a blog or website to enter either so their is really no reason on why you shouldn’t enter so………. I’m challenging you!
- 2 cups cornflakes
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1-2 teaspoons hot sauce
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken strips (raw)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup of mustard
Crush the cornflakes until almost a powder, add flour and mix with hands. Beat eggs and hot sauce together in a small bowl. Grease a large baking sheet with vegetable oil or a cooking spray. Dip chicken strips into egg mixture and then into cornflake mixture until evenly coated. Lay on baking sheet, repeat until all are done. Bake at 350 degree’s for 40-45 minutes or until crispy. While chicken in baking Mix together honey and mustard in a medium size bowl to taste. Take chicken out of oven and lay over 1 cup of salad or ramen noodle’s and drizzle with honey mustard wallah! Fancy chicken (oh and it won’t be spicy unless you add like a tablespoon of hot sauce
